The members of Lions District 2-T1 are excited to welcome Alexa Maples of the Dumas Noon Lions Club as our District Governor for the 2026-2027 Lion Year!
As we begin a new Lion year, we look forward to District Governor Alexa’s leadership, vision, and dedication to service. Her passion for helping others and commitment to the Lions mission will undoubtedly inspire Clubs across our district to continue making a difference in our communities.
Please join us in congratulating District Governor Maples and wishing her a successful and rewarding year ahead. We are excited to serve alongside her as we work together to uphold the Lions motto: “We Serve.”

In Loving Memory of PDG Jack King
In Loving Memory of PDG Jack King
Our Lions District and the entire Texas Lions family mourn the loss of a truly great Lion, Past District Governor Jack King. Jack was a dedicated member of the Amarillo Downtown Lions Club, a passionate leader, and a tireless servant of others.
His legacy includes his impactful service as Past President of the Texas Lions Camp, where his heart for children and commitment to service shone brightly. Jack embodied the Lions motto, “We Serve,” in every aspect of his life and leadership.
We are grateful for the years of wisdom, compassion, and strength he shared with us. His presence will be deeply missed, but his influence will continue to inspire Lions across Texas and beyond.
Please keep Jack’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
Rest in peace, Lion Jack. Your roar will echo in our hearts forever.
His funeral will be held on September 8, 2025 at 2 pm at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount, Amarillo. Click on Jack’s picture above to view his obituary.
