Fall Learning & Sharing Event a Success!

Successful Fall Learning & Sharing Event!

What an Inspiring Fall Learning & Sharing Event! Our Lions District came together for a fantastic fall event filled with learning, sharing, and connecting! We had the privilege of gaining valuable insights on how to grow our clubs, partner effectively with other Lions clubs and organizations, and shared service project ideas to make an even bigger impact. A huge thank you to the Wellington Lions Club for hosting us so wonderfully – the hospitality was top-notch, and the energy was contagious! We’re leaving rejuvenated and ready to put all we’ve learned into action to better serve our communities. Here’s to continued growth, collaboration, and service!

Mailing Collected Eyeglasses

Mailing Collected Eyeglasses

Ship Your Collected Recycled Eyeglasses to TLERC Free of Charge

Did you know that you can mail your Club’s collected eyeglasses to the Texas Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center in Midland, Texas for free??? You sure can; I just mailed a box from the Amarillo downtown post office yesterday, and I’m sending two more today. Just package the eyeglasses up in a banker size box or smaller and place a label with the correct wording on it, and most post offices should accept the box for shipment. I generally print out the instructions and take them with me so that the post office clerk can read over it if they are not familiar with this service. You can find the instructions and labels here or anytime under the Lions’ Causes tab on the navigation bar under State Level and then under Texas Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center. D.G. Chris Rogers

Reporting Service Activities

Here is a great resource for learning how to report your Club’s service in the new Lion Portal. The link below will take you to a short instructional video that will walk you through the process. There have been a couple of updates to the system recently that you may find helpful. First of all, you can now duplicate a service activity and second, you can now add pictures to the service activity. You all are doing great service in your communities, so let LCI know what you're up to and let them credit you for the service you are already providing! Keep up the stellar work T1 Lions!
